Mal Stares was born in Toronto, Canada before moving to Germany at the age of seven. Her unusual childhood helped her secure her first job, translating the website for a popular New Zealand kid's show into German. While majoring in English Literature at the University of British Columbia she started working in the Locations department in the film industry on major films like Elektra and RV. After graduating she continued to work in the business, working in jobs ranging from being the key on-set locations production assistant to extras casting, to working as a director's assistant for a film that brought her to Ireland. She settled into working as a producer's assistant before being accepted into the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program at USC. She recently graduated and is currently working as an assistant at a Disney based film production company.

Conrad Sylvia was born in Montreal, Quebec. Canada and eventually moved to a small town in Ontario. During high school he performed improv with several different troupes and ran a small children's theatre out of the local library. After winning several awards for a play he wrote and directed, Conrad moved out to British Columbia to attend film school. Following his graduation he started working in the Locations department for films and television shows ranging from Aliens vs. Predator to The Twilight Saga: New Moon. He is currently based out of Vancouver and writing full time.
